When i read it first time, I could not stop myself to post this article on my Blog because i used to ask myself how to differentiate between Goal and Vision.

“I have a dream”, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. proclaimed. His dream was racial equality, building upon Gandhi’s vision of freedom through ahimsa – non-violence. These men were powerful because their visions inspired millions, and changed the world.

Jack Welch, the venerated CEO of General Electric, had a goal for every business his conglomerate was in. “I want to be No. 1 or 2 in every business”, he proclaimed. This goal drove GE forward for a while, of course. But it did not last.

What’s the difference between what Dr. King wanted, and what Jack Welch wanted? Visions for humankind versus goals for a corporation? We tend to confuse vision with goals. Gandhi and King had a vision. Welch had a goal. A goal, in the absence of a vision, is limited in value.

Most of us need both vision and goals. Goals are good mechanisms to help members of a team understand where they are headed, and to spur them to produce the desired outcome. However, goals are time-bound, finite, and limited in their power. Very few people wake up every morning with the burning desire to make their company No. 1 or 2. I would look at such people as limited and boring – one-dimensional in their approach. Yes, goals can motivate, in the short term. But goals can also cause competitiveness, aggressiveness, and selfishness in people, including among members of a team. The goal of winning is fine, and even fun, in a game of football or cricket. But extended to the game called life, it becomes a constraining obsession.

Vision, on the other hand, is not a thing to be achieved. It is a way to live your life. Gandhi was the epitome of freedom and ahimsa in the way he lived his life. He chose to be free even as India was ruled by the British.

As I observe my daughter, Samvitha, I can see her vision. In simple terms, her vision is to be happy and awesome. She puts her heart and mind into everything she does. Her vision carries through to every aspect of her life – her academics, her relationships, her writing, and more. Her vision sometimes translates into specific goals – like topping her class in a subject. My wife and I occasionally get concerned; she takes on so much, and is unstinting in her effort to excel at everything she does. For instance, there were times when she had set her heart on ‘maxing’ some exams, but her results were a shade lower than her expectations. We thought she would be deeply disappointed. We thought she might be disheartened. And she was. But only briefly. She bounced back into her bubbly self pretty fast. To me, that showed that her long-term vision was more important than her short-term goals.

Living one’s vision can be an end in itself, with no attachment to the outcome. It’s like Gandhi feeling fulfilled even though India was not free. Or Samvitha choosing to remain awesome, despite falling a little short of her very high aspirations. She chalked it up to experience. This would be the mark of a true karma yogi, living Bhagavad Gita’s message of “Karmanye vadhikaraste” – doing one’s duty and living one’s true calling with no attachment to the outcomes of one’s efforts.

The Connected Age will require more of us to be vision-oriented rather than goal-oriented. People will connect with their true calling – living a life that is unique and meaningful, contributing to the world around them. Do share your own vision with the New Constructs community.

Long live the earth.

Population Explosion India

Check out these few pictures...Is it time to take some lesson in our life??

Imagine your future....

These picture are from place 'Govardhan' near Mathura in UP.

<img style="float:right; I was so much filled with mixed feeling. I have concerned for our society, politicians, our socialite, Police, role of media, our judiciary system and most important our own people...Are they safe? Do they get what they deserve? What are their rights? Do they have faith in system? Do they get justice? Like these, there are so many questions which are raised by this movie. Like Jessica, there are so many cases for which judicial process is going on from a decade or more than that. People are waiting for justice. Will they get within time, these all are concerns which I think we all should have. So what are the ways to come out with solutions for such kind of problems?
In case of Jessica, what are the main concerns or areas where our system lacked to bring out the truth?
I think we all must give a thought on this.

Role of politicians- No doubt about it, Influence and Power are the words which they use as they wish. It should be under surveillance. Police and Court all know how our politicians use their power in tempering with the evidences in such cases where either they or their family members are involved. Government and law ministry should think on such act because we have seen in almost every case wherever politicians are involved. Either the cases are running from decades or they are closed in between in the lack of proper evidences. Even sometimes I surprised when I think about few cases in the last decade which were so popular in media and none of them come up to their final verdict. They are still running and running...

Role of media- There is no doubt about it that Media did a fabulous job in Jessica Lall case. Media kept the case live for almost 10years and proved that it is the fourth pillar of democracy in true sense. But sometimes we also see that cases come as momentarily, stories come in.... and out....if it is related to high profile, it can sustain for sometime otherwise for few days it will be aired and slowly it will fade out like a colour from a clothe. This shouldn’t be.

Role of society- This was the most embarrassing aspect in Jessica case. At which I feel that I am also a culprit. We all shout on our system and our politicians but how much we are responsible? How can we become so selfish? If it is related to us or our kin then only it is a problem otherwise no one cares. If it happens with someone else, we do not want to be involved in. Where is humanity? Is it dead? How could the prime witnesses deny from their statement-the truth which they knew.
People! Don’t forget if you are not there today, you or your family can be there tomorrow. So don’t let it (the truth) die ever.
So what is the need of hour?
•We all must understand our responsibility in society which makes from us and which is for us.
•There should be some improvement in our judiciary system precisely in our law system like there should be providence for “Witness Protection” in the cases where their statement is as an evidence.
I found a very good article written by a student of symbiosis law student on “Witness protection”.

Lastly, I want to thank Indian Cinema specially Mr. Raj Kumar Gupta(Director,Screenplay of No one killed Jessice) and his team who dared to make a film on such incident and made the people to think on issues related to it. We all hope that Indian cinema will keep trying to work on such subjects and will remind us time to time about our roles and responsibilities in society.

<link rel='related' href='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_One_Killed_Jessica' title=''No One Killed Jessica" All Indian corporate leaders tried to present India as grown country rather than growing. Global media was presenting the powerful image of India and we all were feeling ‘feel good factor’.
But we will have to face such humiliation in such a small span of time. Nobody thinks about it. Scams after scams are coming out…all media is bringing the matter in front of the whole country and is starting to blame government and politicians for these scams. Now is that the solution? Or to know the culprit and punish them will be the solution? Perhaps, NO.
The reason is government, a virtual entity which is made of the people of the country. So if government is involved in something this means we are involved in it. A single leader cannot be accused of some corrupt act; the people who are working with him will also be doing same. One cannot do such activities without the involvement of the other people under his span of control. If a minister is involved then his secretary, office clerk and babus will also be the part of act. Who are they? They are the common people of our society, to whom whenever is asked, “what is your income?” they will give the answer, “aamdani to itni acchi nahi hai, par upari income acchi ho jati hai”
Now we can all understand who the culprits in such scams or corrupt acts are.
So until and unless, we are not going to bring change in ourselves, these obstacles will occur again and again in the path of development.
So rather than accusing our system, we all should bring Change in Ourselves and make the system transparent and presentable in the whole world.
This may look impractical but it is not impossible. In second week of november,i was in MRA(Moral Re-Armament) centre- Panchgani and I was amazed with their efforts to bring the change in this world.Their methods like to listen your inner voice, sit quiet in the nature for some time and variuos activities like talk about your feelings and relationship, are incredible. They want to bring change in this world through the changes in ourselves.I was astonished after seeing the participation from all across the globe. There were people from countries like US,UK,Vietnam,Latvia,Iran,Afganistan,Sudan,Ethiopia,Bhutan and many more. They all are part of one astounding program - Initiatives of Change
They are basically promoting 4 things to listen our inner voice-Absolute Purity,Absolute Honesty, Absolute Unselfishness and Absolute Love. They also spread the message through "Forgiveness".According to them.the virtue of forgiveness makes us happy and feels better.I also belive that this virtue can also play an important role in eradicating violence and hatred from our society.
So the reason why i mentioned MRA in this article of corruption is perhaps clear now.
I believe that these learning can bring the change in ourselves which we wabt to see in this world.
If you ever get chance to visit Pune, you must visit MRA Centre in Panchgani. It is incredibly beautiful and thought provoking.

Services in Emerging Market

I am very excited about writing this article on Emerging Market in continuation because coincidently my last article posting was on Emerging Market/Economy and now I am writing with my real experience at a conference on the same subject in ISB, Hyderabad. It was overwhelming experience in ISB. The kind of exposure which I got in two days (23rd -24th sept) with industry honchos, experts, and various professors from universities all across the world was very enthusiastic.

The topic of the conference was: “Services in Emerging Market” or ‘Growth Market ‘as the industry people called it.

The basic characteristics of emerging economies are as follows:
1.Economic Liberalization
2.Low /Middle income country
3.Tech led innovation hotspot
4.Entrepreneur business environment

Nowadays, the world economics is converting from a product based towards a service oriented conception. Business processes are becoming complex in multi layers. So many solutions can be indentified in the market for each problem. Now who will win the market when so many providers are available….of course the one who is better service provider along with the product or solution. (In real meaning, Solution is the combination of Product and Service)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 108px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zgjhl4fdJx4/TJ4rsP4iPaI/AAAAAAAAAHM/x4MLbhyUEUk/s320/figure+1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5520898232380702114" />

What the customer wants has become more important rather than what you provide them. Kotler’s theory also says don’t push your product; make/design your product as customer wants. The process should be in reverse from Customer to your Production house not from your production house to customer.

As such Service Productivity, Service Quality and Service Innovation exist with the product but now the market demands them to be more integrated.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 124px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zgjhl4fdJx4/TJ4ri-yK1BI/AAAAAAAAAHE/OCD8zIVyFmQ/s320/fig2.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5520898073171776530" />
Now if we talk about the role of Technology then we have to change in the pyramid mode of Service Marketing. Earlier there were 3 corners i.e. Company, Customer and Employee while now we should add Technology (IT) in it because Technology has become integrated part of system.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 171px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_zgjhl4fdJx4/TJ4rXqR9cBI/AAAAAAAAAG8/yTq8VOEH89Y/s320/fig+3.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5520897878689411090" />
Source: lecture/presentation given by:
Prof A Parasuraman,university of Miami
Prof N Viswanadham, ISB
FC Kohli, GM,TCS
Guruduth Banavar,VP & CTO,IBM

Dream Place:

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_zgjhl4fdJx4/TJ4viGdHgJI/AAAAAAAAAHk/iqB-JVNAg3w/s320/DSC02217.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5520902456097603730" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zgjhl4fdJx4/TJ4vXq4bcMI/AAAAAAAAAHc/e3PmlFVoPzQ/s320/DSC02216.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5520902276897272002" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_zgjhl4fdJx4/TJ4wH0-wFuI/AAAAAAAAAH0/Jke2nprwvuw/s320/DSC02206.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5520903104241866466" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_zgjhl4fdJx4/TJ4wSIpDrDI/AAAAAAAAAH8/1NlahIFq_PM/s320/DSC02220.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5520903281318276146" />

Emerging Market:

Few days back, I was reading some articles related to the new markets in the world where the companies are exploring market for their growth.
In this recession recovery period, we all have the same question, what is next? Where to go? Since business is coming at the edge of stagnation in the existing market. Where are the opportunities? Everyone is looking here and there. From automobile to telecom, all domain companies are searching for emerging market.
Then I decided to know what emerging market is? How do we decide that this country can be emerging marketing and I got to know-"Emerging markets are nations with social or business activity in the process of rapid growth and industrialization”. The phrase was defined in terms of economics and levels of wealth. Emerging markets are economies with low-to-middle per capita income.
In recent years, few terms have emerged to describe the largest developing countries such as BRIC (word is given by Goldman Sachs) that stands for Brazil, Russia, India, and China, BRICS (BRIC + South Africa) and CIVETS (Colombia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Egypt, Turkey and South Africa). Some experts believe that they are enjoying an increasing role in the world economy and on political platforms.
Few months before there was a statement from CEO of HSBC bank, he said, "After BRICs, look to CIVETS for growth”. As per his statement-The size of the emerging market middle class will swell to 1.2 billion people by 2030, from 250 million in 2000.hence banking sector has a lot of scope to further grow in these countries.
Emerging markets are characterized by strong economic growth, resulting in an often marked rise in GDP and disposable income. As a result, people in emerging countries are often able to buy goods and services that they previously would not have been able to afford. This provides international companies with the opportunity to tap large, new customer bases, potentially driving significant growth for a number of companies and industries. Though disposable incomes in emerging markets are rising, many of their citizens are still relatively poor. Luxury goods such as high-end automobiles and designer clothes are sure to benefit from the increased purchasing power of emerging economies, but everyday luxuries such as cell phones and brand name food products are becoming popular much more quickly. For example, the number of wireless subscribers in India grew at a compound annual growth rate of 91% from 2000 to 2005, and coca-cola company predicts that the BRIC countries will account for 41% of the company's growth by 2008.

Companies that benefit from growth in emerging markets:

Auto companies:
Ford Motor Company (F), General Motors (GM), Toyota Motor (TM), Honda Motor Company (HMC), and other car companies would benefit from increased demand for automobiles. As emerging countries improve their infrastructure and their GDPs continue to rise, the demand for cars is likely to increase as well.
Food and beverage manufacturers
Coca-Cola Company, PepsiCo, Kraft Foods and other food and beverage manufacturers have seen strong growth in emerging markets in recent years. As incomes rise, packaged food becomes more accessible for a larger percentage of the population, stimulating demand for these companies' products.
Mobile (telecom) companies:
The Indian telecommunications industry is one of the fastest growing in the world. According to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the number of telephone subscriber base in the country reached 653.92 million as on May 31, 2010, an increase of 2.49 per cent from 638.05 million in April 2010. With this the overall tele-density (telephones per 100 people) has touched 55.38. The wireless subscriber base has increased to 617.53 million at the end of May 2010 from 601.22 million in April 2010, registering a growth of 2.71 per cent.
Not only will India surpass China in terms of the total number of active subscriptions by 2013, but, according to Informa's forecasts, the Indian market will have a higher subscription penetration rate (75 per cent ) than China's by the end of 2011 (69 per cent ). By the end of 2014, India's subscription penetration will be 101 per cent.
Raw material suppliers:
BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto and other integrated mining companies have already benefitted from the explosive demand growth of emerging markets, especially China.
Industrial gas companies:
Praxair, Air Products and Chemicals, and other industrial gas companies stand to benefit as demand for their product grows; current per capita gas consumption in emerging markets is very low compared to developed countries. As consumption rises, demand for industrial gases will be stimulated.
Advertising Firms:
As growth in advertising spending slows in mature markets such as the United States and Western Europe, advertising conglomerates like Omnicom Group (OMC) and Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG) are shifting their focus to Russia, China, India and other emerging markets, where advertising spending is growing at much higher rates.

Blogger's Meet: An Acknowledgement from Indiblogger

It was my first chance to attend the Blogger's meet.Fortunatly, since i am in hyderabad and my blog is also listed from Hyderabad so of course it was on my card to attend this beautiful event on 11th April.I feel very charged after coming from this meet because i was filled with such innovative ideas which i never thought in my life.I met with so many kind of people from different backgrounds...from software engineer to doctor to banker to professor...to home maker and student. Should we let him go ( we are knowing that he has been offered to Qatar citizenship.) or Should we proud to have such versatile artist in our country?

I believe that we are forgetting something which makes us proud to be Indian.India is one of the largest democratic country which has sent message of secularism from time to time to the world.

Here we all have our rights to express ourselves in whatever way we want.

The Artists,Painters,Film-makers and Actors, they all have their right in their individual form.

They are free from social taboos. It is their imagination or thought which they express in their work.We must acknowledge it with broad minded views.

If we talk about his controversial paintings about Hindu's deities, then there are few questions which should be answered like ......

why do we not vandalise Khajuraho or some Hindu temples specially in south India?which are epitome of nudity.Khajuraho is world famous and we are proud of it and have made a part of our Indian history study.

So Are we being hypocrite in our own values? This needs to be addressed.

This issue also shows the lackadaisical nature of our legal system. This 95 yrs old man is having more than thousands cases against him. When will these resolve? No idea.

I think he took a wise decision in this regard.

But our government is owed for three things.... our Sovereignty,...Indian secular society....and Efficient Legal system.

Jago Mumbai-kers!!!

It feels really pathetic whenever I stuck with any such incident which are related to regionalism whether it be related to Mumbai or Australia.I feel pity for the people how stupid they are who fight among themselves. Some people do it for knowingly while some become a part of it indirectly,Thanks to some political parties (very honestly, Shiv Sena and MNS both)which as such do not have any political agenda or their ideology but are making fool to the people.
In Mumbai, whatever is happening with other states people is very similar to what is happening with Indians in Australia. How Hippocrates are these Shiv Sena /MNS leaders can be judge by their statement for Australian players that they will not allow Australia to play in Mumbai during IPL-3? understand the meaning of it.

A day before, i was just passing through the idiot box after having my dinner at my place. At that time, Mr Amitabh Bacchan type='text'>A loss of nation:ysr reddy

Living in Hyderabad from last 16 months,A day always starts with a cup of tea along with the newspaper. But the day, 3 september2009 started with a shocking and disappointing news of the demise of one of our charismatic leader.
Like others,I also never want to start my day with such type of heartbreaking news.but the sound of Indian air force planes and choppers from the last day and night was clearly indicating that something is going to be serious(i am living nearby to Begumpet airport, hyderabad)
The destiny is destiny. No one can change it.with this news, the negative side of my heart which was again and again saying that it might also happen, finally won despite of my all pray and remembering of his good work for the poor and backward people of the society in Andhra pradesh.
Dr.YSR Reddy, the current chief minister of Andhra Pradesh,is now no more with his people who loved him in such a way that i saw on television how the people were crying for him.It seems like they don't want to hear this mournful news about their beloved leader.
He was called as the man who believes in keeping promise, that is why he ignored the weather forecast and went for his people to whom he had promised to start a new policy from their village.
As per my view, in Andhra Pradesh he was not because of Congress but the Congress party was because of him.
His committed and dedicated work for the people in his last 5years of leadership had given him the reward to work again for them. His unique and dynamic vision keep him apart than the other politicians.Although he was a doctor professionally but i think in real sense he knew the pulse of the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Now we all are going to miss such an educated and visionary leader in the democracy of our country.
He will be mourned by us,his family, his friend, and by the nation.....surely by the god too who dared to send his son into the unknown.
Vibhav S is signing off with the pray for his peaceful soul.

hello to all,
Hope you all would be taking preventive action towards swine-flu.We all must.Remember an old hackneyed"prevention is better than cure".Good-luck for that.but what about the other catastrophe(including these pandemic) which are constantly heading towards us.
After a much hype of 'Kaminey',last week i thought to watch this movie. There, when i felt craving for a cup of hot coffee,i stuck with a poster of a forthcoming film called as"2012"(which Mr.Roland Emmerich is directing after 'The Day After Tomorrow' and 'The Independence Day'.

As such the place where i went to watch this movie, they call them self BIG ****** so of course everything was big, even this particular poster was also big which was just in front of me as i right turned from coffee house towards the Audi no-6.'A Horrible scene of a city where the earth has cracked form several places, buildings are falling, it seems lava is coming out from the surface of earth, everywhere is only hue and cry' Since that day, i was ruminating on that scenario, and suddenly a lot of questions started to come in my mind. What will happen then? What we will do in such situation? How can we save ourselves? How can we prevent it?..and many more,i was constantly thinking on this....I discussed it with my friends, saw trailer of this movie on YouTube.

later on i found my answer too: this is nothing but the "Global Warming".............
We all know about climate change. How rapidly our climate is changing ?Individually we can also find if we just compare raining pattern in rainy season,
temperature rise in summer and winter, now no more chilling in winter and summer are becoming hot n hot.
The statics are in the given diagram.(from http://co2now.org/)
then i did some study related to climate-change like global treaty,Kyoto protocol and others issues. Then i registered myself on PlanetCall.org.
Now i am a member of PlanetCall.org which is an initiation form UN Secretary general,Mr.Ban Ki-Moon,who wants to create awareness on this issue. There is open discussion on global warming.Know about it.Share your views, how you are ready to fight against it and take part in a mission of him,in which he wants 1 Million signatures in 100 remaining days of COP15.So i suggest my friends to visit these sites to help us in creating awareness.
I am passionately waiting for this coming dec09.Yes!i am talking about COP15 COPENHAGEN,UNITED NATIONS CLIMATE CHANGE CONFERENCE(Dec07-Dec18,2009).
Only this can really bring a sustainable change in the global policies towards carbon emission.
So lets create awareness among our people, and work towards energy conservation and save our planet.
Visit these sites to know more about Climate Change,Carbon Emission,Greenhouse effect and a lot more issues:
http://www.planetcall.org/
http://co2now.org/
http://www.copenhagenclimatecouncil.com/
VibhavS is signing off.

Exploring New Economy in India :" Social Economy"

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 247px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zgjhl4fdJx4/SpPt0KqdmQI/AAAAAAAAAEM/IzWtC-XLr-E/s320/ngo.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5373900260854569218" />
After this melodramatic Recession drama, Can we dare to explore new opportunities in the market?
Perhaps yes! This is the time. But the next big question, where? and what can we explore?
The answer is here : Our next new economy is "Social Economy" which is in real meaning to strengthen our economy and our society both.
Few months ago, when i was interacting with an IIM-L guy who was here in Hyderabad for summer internship. We discussed on this topic in course of our discussion on 'new job opportunities in Indian market'.
Later on when i googled ,i found that it was a significant % in the placement pie chart of B-school who went for entrepreneurship.
Although I should not forget about Mr.Arvind Adiga's Booker prize winning novel 'The White Tiger' which depicts that India is the land of entrepreneurs.
In last few years,if we see the placement of top B-school in India, grads are following a new trend. They are showing their interest in diversified unique business ideas. These ideas are new wealth creator in the market. They are having their goal to create value for society at large especially the disadvantaged section. It is also unlike the conventional entrepreneurs who work to maximize only their shareholder's value.
Now in Internet culture, Social Entrepreneurs can use all tools of Modern Business-Technology,Innovation,Capital,New Management Technique and Free market. In addition to that they can work freely without any greed, without any competition ,only with unlimited opportunities in unexplored world.
There is one big doubt in ours mind about social enterprises that they are loss-making,grant-funded charities. But They are not(check out above list). Here, you can also easily find the best intelligent mind in this upcoming domain like Mr Kaushlendra(of Samriddhii),an IIM-A graduate, now helping small vegetable growers and vendors to get the best price. He started his business journey from Bihar where another such guy can never think to start his career.
But at least now he can prove that who dare to dream,They can also make it in real.

People are seeking opportunities in Slums,Sanitation,Women Welfare,Agriculture,
Education,Health care,Technology,Energy and from somewhere which we can also not imagine.

Just Google these names of organization from above chart in your leisure,i am sure, you will definitely get beautiful innovative ideas to do something differently in your life.(pls click on the above picture)
Vibhav S is signing off.

Consequences of Global Slowdown

Last week i was going through the exclusive report of Harvard Business Review, There was very detailed analysis on the future of global economy.I just want to present it in more simpler abstract.
How this Recession will act as a catalyst to reshape our world economy?,is a big question mark in front of us. Probably the answer lies in several interlinked issues and world economic and social policies.
In my last post,I have already given the latest half yearly GDP outcomes(as per IMF result Aug09) of the global economy which clearly indicate that the needle of global economic growth has been shifted to developing countries after this recession.the developed countries are saturating and that saturation is transforming as new contingencies in developing countries.last G8 and G10 Summit are the example of this where all economist and diplomats were emphasizing the new business opportunities in developing countries.
Developing countries are becoming relatively greater markets.as per IMF statics(Apr 09)-these will expand at 1.6% in 2009 where China' economy will be at 6.5% and India will be at 4.5%.while developed economy will shrink by 3.8% this year.
So what should be the next steps?
1. A growing divide: since the market is shrinking in developed countries hence there will be steep decrement in the export. To make it intact we have to generate demand in our own country or parallely we have to focus on new business areas in other growing countries(like AFRICAN Continent which is growing at 2% in 2009 as per IMF,and it also have a huge potential for export) where we can meet their demand and supply with our exports.for that our government must invest in infrastructures and they must reduce taxes particularly on products of low income consumers to maintain force in demand.

2. Return of family styled leaders: specially in BRIC (BRAZIL,RUSSIA,INDIA and CHINA)Countries, business is in the form of state govern or family oriented because of that they adopt long term perspective. driven by personal pride and national interest they don't dance to the tune of stock market.

3. A Reversal in M&A: since Recession indirectly bring the opportunities for the big fishes to eat small fishes(fish=company).but in emerging countries, the big giants must focus on small and medium size business for M&A, keeping their own monetary funding in mind. Tata's Jaguar and Land Rover deal could be the example of bad timing deal if they could not get money from the banks.

4. Sustainability: in last G8-G10 summit, climate control had discussed as a prime issue next to financial crisis. so now the policy maker must take it in consideration when they draft the economic policies. they must think on sustainable policies.for example: the policies for Automobile and Manufacturing industries must be drafted as per global carbon emission norms.

It is high time when our Economist and Politicians must sit together and they must explore new opportunities. It is true that it is only the 'Time' which will only tell us the real picture of recovery whether it is 'V' shaped sharp-recovery or 'U' shaped slow recovery.
Vibhav S is signing off.

Global Economic Meltdown and China'The Stellar'

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 289px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zgjhl4fdJx4/Sowgspjxn2I/AAAAAAAAADo/TszsNfxzOuU/s320/gdp09.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371704406988398434" />
“Buri Nazar Wale Tera Moonh Kala”. Thank god! Our Great India is out of global meltdown (officially).Although since the beginning; we were insulated from this melodramatic global event. There was a lot of continuous fuss about global downturn. There was a great hue and cry all over the globe because financial crisis had broken the backbone of global economy. Job crises, mortgage problem, credit problem, money lending all seemed out of hand.
Then, all the biggest economy of the world poured a lot of money in their country in the form of stimulus packages to maintain money flow in the market because proper flow of money in the market is the symbol of a healthy economy.Although the global recovery rate is slow yet it seems tangible. Its recovery symptoms can be visualized especially with the Asian and Europe market.
The economists are predicting that the situation will improve but world’s economic growth cycle will roll after 2010.

China
This year China will probably account for the whole of net world economic growth. China's GDP growth is projected to be 8.0% or above. Its economy grew by 7.9% year-on-year in the second quarter and is accelerating. China's performance is stellar in conditions where this year most major economies will shrink.
This magic is because of unique and indeed "Chinese characteristics".
China has a series of integrated and mutually reinforcing policies. There are few key aspects of it like:
• The first is the china's high proportion of exports
• Second is China's high level of investment.
• Third, a decisive point showing China has a "socialist market economy" and not "market capitalism", is its method of macro-economic regulation.
With its policies, there is no doubt that China could be next global power.

Charisma of Web 2.0

Finally the battle is won by : Web 2.0 for the millionth word in the English dictionary.
Well I had a soft corner for 'Jai ho'...and 'Slumdog'.......
But i think there is full justice with this technical cum social word.We can easily justify the importance of this word with its usages. Without Web2.0,we don't spend a single day on the internet. whether be a school going child, adult or an old person , everyone wants to use this technology because it makes everything quick to use like you can see nowadays at every website there will be virtual tours, forums, blogs, directly linked picture gallery with Flickr, Picasa and a new word of 2009 Twitter.
I remember the days of my engineering when there was a wind of 'Orkutting'. Everyone was willing to make his/her account on Orkut. slowly we saw Facebook, Myspace and a lot more....(In fact, as of May 2009, 49.83% of Orkut's users are from Brazil,
followed by India with 17.51%.Originally hosted in California, in August 2008 Google announced that Orkut will be fully managed and operated in Brazil, by Google Brazil, in the city of Belo Horizonte because of the large Brazilian user base and growth of legal issues).
Social networking websites which are very useful for open discussion,to find out place, person and anything. In forums, we can chat on the topics and take the reviews from the global users. It is such a wonderful place that can make friends from all over the globe and can also bring close to the long-lost friends. We feel happy to see our old friend on these social networking websites.
There are also a different type of categories like Linkedin:a professional business, career networking website.
Blogging: i called it as 'Har aadmi ki Aawaz'. With this, you are free to say whatever you feel. Use it now and put your views in front of the world.
YouTube: freely upload and download any video which you wanna do.show it,share it with your friends and family. it is amazing. even few News-channels are showing the programs fully based on YouTube.
Flickr: take photographs and show to the world. a excellent website which is full of amazing and brilliant pics around the world.
Lastly the new word which is on everyone's tongue: Twitter,a micro blogging technology.
latest IRANIAN President's elections is a distinct example of the importance of this technology when all media was barred in Iran. then, Twitter was the weapon of the Iranian people. It came out as the new face of media. All meeting, protest, rallies and all was being conducted through it. even not only those people but also the whole world was in contact with them through Twitter....
Now you can see almost all corporate companies, universities even our diplomats are twittering. where you can have their updates at every second. It is much easier than 'sms'ing.
These are just few gems of web2.0. There are a lot more which are still left to me to explore.
so Keep Blogging, Keep Twittering and Keep Connecting...........Because in today's busy life, only these are the helpful things which realize us that we are closer to others and make us proud that Yes, we invented something which is more useful for our relationships, our feelings and our humanity.
vibhav is signing off.

When will we say "It is enough"

Yesterday 11 July,World Population Day. Do you know that? yes, why won't you ? humko kya? chalta hai, yar.
i also know the same. really we never care what will be the future aspects of this exponential growing population. year per year, government is increasing its expenditure on human welfare and their development. It is a world wide phenomenon. They are doing their job but, but do we do ours? Do we even think about that? A Big 'NO'......except to criticize our government for not doing this and that.
mathematically, our(the people) equation will be-
y(people)= e to the power of 'x'(time)
i just want to depict it with one example:Road Transportation. Thousands of buses are added on road per year but still we find poor buses heavy loaded with passengers. whenever a bus come your situation will be like you are in a Bhoosa-gadi. It seems aadmi is not like a aadmi , just like other animal. then we cry for infrastructure. Now in every, specially tier I/II and III city, mass construction is going on. Take example of our national capital Delhi, no one can complain about road infrastructure, if some, that is just because of construction is in process. but still the situation in buses is pity. no one want to travel by them. so personal vehicles are increasing on the roads, then problem of traffic jam. the list doesn't end here.....it goes very long.
but come back at the grass-root level and find the cause of it, it is Us ,....'WE'.
Resources are limited and we are increasing day by day. can't we control ourself? this is high time when we have to think about our future ,our child future(not children.....i am talking about individual person....hope my message will be clear to you).
just imagine! in future one day your city is full of skyscrappers, a lot of flyovers and all type of facilities for you but do you think that you would be able to enjoy those.
take my words...it is NO, NO, NO. and Never.
because that day also you will be in queue much longer than today.
Future is in your hands. Either Give everything to your child to enjoy his human life or let him fight for even every small thing to survive his life......
because our future equation will be:
z(resources) = e to the power of [- y(the people)]
vibhav is signing off...
here i am adding a link for UNFPA- to promote the right of every man, woman and child.
http://www.unfpa.org/public/

"Core" or "Diversification"

Last week, I was traveling by a bus in Hyderabad. It was in evening, Thanx to APSTRC that they have much better bus facilities when i compare it to Delhi. and yes here People are also more civilized rather than those in our dear Delhi.I am mentioning this here because i used to get a seat in the buses...ya!!! i am not joking . Can u tell me how is situation in Delhi buses?...................oh god!!
So what could i do in those 30 min travel? Except to read a magazine.
in which i found a very humorous and innovative article to understand 'CORE / DIVERSIFICATION'. Hoping you have heard these terms before. These are very important from business point of view. If not, Read this example,You can understand it clearly:
Scene starts from a lavish hotel;AT a diner table, four guys who met with each other after a long busy schedule were very happy to enjoy their evening together once again. One by one they started to give the order for cuisines. but one guy gave the same specific order which he used to had at other places also. At the same time, his other friends were trying for some different which they were thinking to be distinct from other places.
Suddenly they noticed that this gentleman is placing the same old order again , they pointed out him. what man?? Why don't you try something else?.....on which he replied that he believes in 'core'.then his one friend replied "Boss don't you feel bored with this same 'core' food. See we all are trying for different dishes. Be 'Diversified 'like us. Opt for other things from this long menu card." but that guy seemed resist. Then his another friend asked him " Ok,if you are such strong 'Core' believer then choose one best friend among us ".
now he found himself in labyrinth.Actually,he did not want to hurt his friends. so he also went for 'diversified' food. After diner,he realized that why he was being fail in his business with his 'Core' idea only. Then he decided to follow 'Diversified' ideas in his life.
and he determined himself to follow it from right now. So he called the Waiter and asked him to bring the 'DIVERSIFIED Bill ' into four equal amount...... With this, all laughed loudly.... but they suggested him -"Brother when you go home , think about only 'core' wife, not 'diversified'....... they all mocked him. but now really he was so influenced with 'Diversification' that all the way to home he was dreaming for his 'Diversified' wives ..............
Vibhav is signing off.

India ka faisla

On 16th may , Again a great day for a democratic country like India which sets an example for all in the world . So it was also very exciting for me to know who is going to rule our country for next 5 years 'JAI HO' or 'BHAY HO'or some other Bhaiya ji or Bahin ji. Since morning, i was stick to my TV, had breakfast, lunch there itself, parallely i was also one of them who were increasing the TRP of news channel....No interest in IPL that day(Although it is not a cricket game except high profile extravaganza, i am sure about that)
But as the verdict starts, hoping for NDA to come in power because a day before few allies from third front had started to move from their dummy fake place to their real place.
but they were also not knowing that the JANTA has rejected them before 16th. Sooner Lalu ,Paswan and people like Ms. Mayawati and Mr. Mulayam singh who were day dreamer for PM had shown their way out. people had rejected them. It is very shameful for Mr. Lalu and Paswan that they could not even win their seat from their home place. What they did for their own people of state.Nothing else except caste and religion politics. Now i think they should take classes from Mr. Nitish kumar , an engineer turned into politician who is doing development Bihar.Even opposition is also praising about him.
I felt very optimistic when i saw a single ruling party is coming in power without these blackmailer regional political party. This verdict will enhance decision making of government. It is really a positive sign for our country's development and progress.
Though there could be a tough task ahead for Mr. Manmohan singh because now people have a lot of expection from his government.
Wishing him good LUCK.
vibhav is signing off.

The dharma of 'CHANGE'

Recentally I was reading one article in Times of India. it was very inspiring along with full of information. i discussed few points among those with my friend in CDAC at Tea time.
............count down has already begun for 15th Lok-sabha election . you can see words war among all political leaders from all political parties. but how much it is relevant with the janta of india.
well this all depends on us that how much we are aware with our responsibility...almost every news channel...EC site ....and very brilliant effort from 'Jaago re' and 'Lead india' to create awareness among people of our country..........................good job man who are making it true.
well when i think about what will be the major issues on the basis of those people will vote this year...you know very similar to this was my topic of GD in my recent Symbiosis exam."Agenda of India in 2009".
1. Internal and external security....terriosm.
2. Recession proof economy.
3. job crisis.
4. Development of both rural and urban india.
5.
